on hating everything:
it’s so exhausting because (contrary to popular belief) it involves a lot of caring. definitely a lot more than just loving everything. there’s a degree of a certain passive acceptance that comes to loving, a silent pact of non-judgement. but hating things requires, well, an eye for things to point out and hope to destroy. i don’t want to love things that present themselves to me...
